Day 1 – Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Welcome to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a representative from Trip Car Rental Uganda will meet you and transfer you to our office or directly to your hotel depending on your arrival time. Your safari consultant will brief you about your self-drive adventure, explain the vehicle features, road conditions, national park regulations, and answer any questions before handing over your fully equipped 4×4 rental vehicle.
The remainder of the day is free to relax after your international flight. If time permits, you may visit the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, enjoy a sunset walk along the shores of Lake Victoria, or simply unwind at your accommodation.

Day 2 – Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, begin your journey north towards Uganda’s largest protected area, Murchison Falls National Park.
The drive passes through vibrant trading centres, pineapple plantations and rural villages before reaching Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where white rhinos roam freely in the wild. Accompanied by experienced rangers, enjoy a guided walking safari to observe these magnificent animals up close.

Day 3 – Game Drive and Nile Boat Cruise
Wake before sunrise for your first classic African game drive.
The northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park offers some of Uganda’s finest wildlife viewing. Search for elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions, buffaloes, Uganda kob, Jackson’s hartebeests, oribis and hyenas while enjoying the beautiful golden morning light.
After lunch, embark on one of Africa’s most scenic boat cruises as you travel upstream along the Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls.
Large pods of hippos occupy the river while crocodiles bask on the banks. Elephants frequently come down to drink, and hundreds of birds including African fish eagles, kingfishers, bee-eaters and herons are commonly seen.
The cruise ends beneath the falls where enormous volumes of water thunder through the narrow gorge.

Day 4 – Murchison Falls to Gulu

Day 17 – Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today is the highlight of your Uganda Grand Circuit adventure.
After an early breakfast, drive to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters for registration and a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Your experienced guides and trackers will lead you into the ancient rainforest in search of one of Uganda’s habituated mountain gorilla families.
The trek duration depends on the location of the gorilla family and can take between 2 and 8 hours through forest terrain, steep slopes, and beautiful rainforest surroundings. The reward is an unforgettable encounter with endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.
Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one magical hour observing them as they feed, play, interact, and move through the forest.
