Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Entebbe

Welcome to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Located in a peaceful suburb of Entebbe, The Boma Hotel provides the perfect place to relax after your international flight. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure while preparing for your exciting safari adventure.

Day 2 – Scheduled Flight to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe Airport for your scheduled domestic flight to Pakuba Airstrip, located inside Murchison Falls National Park.

Upon arrival, meet your safari guide and transfer to your lodge for check-in and lunch.

Later in the afternoon, visit the famous Top of Murchison Falls, where the mighty River Nile squeezes through a narrow seven-meter gorge before plunging dramatically into the gorge below. The thunderous falls provide one of Africa’s most spectacular natural sights and offer outstanding photography opportunities.

Day 3 – Morning Game Drive & Nile Boat Safari

Wake early for an exciting game drive through the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park.

The park is home to an incredible variety of wildlife including:

  • Rothschild’s giraffes
  • Cape buffaloes
  • Lions
  • Uganda kob
  • Jackson’s hartebeests
  • Oribis
  • Hyenas
  • Leopards (occasionally)

After lunch at the lodge, enjoy a memorable afternoon boat cruise along the River Nile to the Bottom of Murchison Falls.

The cruise offers exceptional wildlife viewing, with large pods of hippos, giant Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and an impressive variety of birdlife lining the riverbanks.

The journey ends near the base of the falls, where you can witness the immense power of the Nile before returning to your lodge.

Day 4 – Scheduled Flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Following breakfast, transfer to Pakuba Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Kihihi Airstrip in southwestern Uganda.

Upon arrival, your guide will transfer you to Buhoma, the northern gateway to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

The scenic drive passes rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages before reaching your lodge near the rainforest.

After check-in, relax at the lodge or choose to join an optional Batwa cultural experience to learn about the traditions, music, and history of the indigenous Batwa people, the original forest dwellers of Bwindi.

Day 5 – Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for registration and a briefing from experienced ranger guides.

You’ll then enter Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. Trekking time varies from two to six hours depending on the gorillas’ location.

Once the gorillas are located, spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent primates as they feed, groom, and interact naturally within their family group.

This extraordinary wildlife encounter is widely regarded as one of Africa’s greatest safari experiences.

Return to the lodge in the afternoon for relaxation and to reflect on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

Day 6 – Scheduled Flight to Entebbe & Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi Airstrip for your scheduled domestic flight back to Entebbe.

Arrival at Entebbe International Airport is generally between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, depending on aircraft routing and weather conditions.

For international departures, we recommend booking evening flights to allow sufficient connection time.

If your departure is later in the evening, an optional day room in Entebbe can be arranged at an additional cost, allowing you to relax and freshen up before your international flight.

Your unforgettable Uganda flying safari concludes upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport.
